QQI provides a verification service to employers, public authorities, education / training bodies and any other official entity to which NFQ awards are presented. The purpose of the service is to provide confirmation that the data on the document presented represents a real award made by QQI or one of its antecedent awarding bodies, HETAC and FETAC.

All award parchments issued by QQI have security features which allow them to be uniquely identified and matched against data held on QQI information systems. Anyone seeking verification of a document should scan it and send it to QQI via QHelp. You can register for QHelp
here.

If seeking verification / confirmation of awards held by a person who claims to hold a QQI award but does not have the original certificate(s), it is necessary to submit the relevant personal details (name, dob, gender and pps) together with signed consent of the person involved.

As an employer or a company acting on behalf of an employer, that requires a number of verifications to be completed on an ongoing basis  please contact QQI, through QHelp to discuss  the most administratively efficient way to proceed.

Presentation of a fraudulent document as a QQI award or fraudulent claims to hold a QQI award are considered as extremely serious matters by QQI and will be reported to the relevant authorities, if any such attempted fraud is detected.
